BAPC Abstract Submission
The 2024 BAPC Organizing Committee invites proposals for paper presentations that align with, but are not restricted to, the following strands, with special focus on their connection to the conference theme:
- Theoretical approaches
- Curriculum design
- Material development
- Instructional approaches
- Assessment
- Learner diversity and inclusion
- Service/community-based learning
- Innovation and technology
Format of Presentation
15-minute presentation
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Proposals should include goals, objectives, and intended outcomes.
- Proposals should be between 250 and 300 words in length. Presentation titles should not exceed 15 words for a 15-minute presentation.
- All proposals must be submitted in English. In consideration of the conference’s diverse audience of educators, the inclusion of references or examples in languages other than English is possible.
- Presenters may submit only one (1) proposal as a lead presenter or as a co-presenter.
- The name of the presenter(s) or an institution should not be included, and any other personal references should be anonymized in the body of the proposal.
- Please avoid using special marks or non-standard fonts.
- All accepted proposals will be announced on the Conference website, however, the BAPC reserves the right to edit when necessary.
Abstract Submission Period
September 29, 2023 – January 21, 2024
Review process
Abstracts will be evaluated by the BPAC Conference Committee against the following criteria:
- Goals, objectives, and intended outcomes of the session are clearly stated.
- Proposal fits conference theme.
- Topic/issue/problem is relevant to the field of language education.
- Proposal is innovative and/or unique in its approach to language education.
- Proposal is well organized and written in a clear, accurate style.
Acceptance notification
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed through a double-blind review process and authors will be notified by February 16, 2024.
